Hear from our community

This particular charity that myself and my friends support provides vital services to the local community that money can't buy! Friendships that last a lifetime, confidence building for the youngsters, a place to belong, a place to get help when needed. This is a totally unique charity run by very caring individuals who absolutely get the purpose of living in a community and serving others.

I feel extremely lucky to be part of AHFO - to have such a supportive community locally is amazing. AHFO offers a structure to our entire week…Coffee morning (Monday) is a great positive way to start the week with friends, children’s clubs during the week gives my children belonging and something to enjoy, the food club (Friday) helps take the pressure of supermarket shopping for the weekend and financially is brilliant.

Taking part in AHFO’s sessions has had a very positive impact on both my wellbeing and my childs. The sessions provide a safe, welcoming environment where we feel supported and included. They have helped build confidence, improve social skills, and reduce feelings of isolation.  Overall, attending AHFO’s sessions has strengthened our confidence, sense of belonging, and emotional resilience, and has had a lasting positive impact on our day-to-day lives.
