At An Hour For Others, we know that Liverpool’s community groups and local clubs are the heartbeat of our city.
We are looking for partners who can donate “an hour” or a space within their existing sessions - whether that’s a spot in a dance class, a place on a sports team, or a seat in a creative workshop - to give a young person or adult the chance to discover a new passion they otherwise couldn’t access.
Hear from our amazing supporters from local groups and clubs in Liverpool
We have been involved with AHFO since it started. We love Kev and Gill’s and the charities ethos, and love how they support families, help families to support themselves and empower these families to support and be positive members in our communities. Aerial Gymnastics provides just a small service to anybody recommended by the team at AHFO by offering a child a free place and the full kit for as long as they want to go. That is as simple as an hour for others can be, what can you give somebody else?
- Teresa Potts - Managing Director, Aerial gymnastics academy
Here at Angels and Scallies we have supported AHFO since day one and have had the pleasure of working as partners with this amazing charity and their families. We offer memorable experiences for the families such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas parties. We characters to visit the kids and much more, we also take part in fundraising events. We love the vision of AHFO and their ethos creating positive change, if we can make just one child/parent/carer smile and make a lovely memory our aim is complete.
- Diane Callaghan - Managing Director, Angels & Scallies
It’s said that giving a little means to receive in abundance and the time Health on the Hob spends each month at Vinny’s kitchen with AHFO, sharing knowledge, skills and food with a group of kids, this means community, connection, happiness, having a laugh, enjoying good food in a safe, loving environment. It means improving lives by improving diet and health and rippling the impact that ‘together we are stronger’ and that we are limitless and we will not be defined by negative statistics and social determinants, our kids can and will rise and shine. All this is thanks to Kev and Gill and the team at AHFO, who live this truth and inspire us, Thank you.
- Dr Hayley Tait - GP, Vinny’s Kitchen
We partner with AHFO because we share a vision for positive change. I truly believe that every single individual has something useful they can offer somebody else. I know working together with like minded people, towards one mission is how we positively impact others on a much deeper, and wider scale. This is why I support the work of An Hour For Others. I know from the bottom of my heart, WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.
