We need more big hearted businesses & tradespeople!!
So many children and elderly live in poor conditions, YOU can improve their lives!
So many children and elderly people across the City live in really poor conditions through financial hardship or illness, we have seen children missing school or even suffering with poor mental and physical health all as a result of their bedroom living conditions. A bit of our time and skill and relevant materials are literally transforming lives in Liverpool. Our biggest problem is that we haven't got anywhere near as many trades and business involved to meet the high demand.
At the moment we are able to do 1 room per month to a high standard, the current waiting list of people needing support is already well into 2020. If we have 12 painting and decorating firms or tradespeople involved that is only 1 room per year you would need to commit to! Literally a few hours of your time per year!! The same applies for flooring companies ,window furnishers and furniture businesses. The more we have involved the more we can help and the less you will have to commit to! If you want to commit to helping improve more lives like some of the businesses who already help us do then that is fine also!
Feedback from a local mum who AHFO helped in the home. The family had lost the oldest child to suicide only 4 years previous and life had just become overwhelming for them to cope.
