Since opening our new space in the heart of Liverpool we have been blown away at the positive impact it's already having on people.  The location itself is perfect as it is central to many Liverpool communities, it's also great to be on such a busy road in and out of the city.  We've had so many positive comments about how it has really brightened the area up and the empowering messages on our front makes people automatically feel good as they go past each day.

Our first group was delivered by the lovely Louise who ran a textile, design programme which went down a storm with the kids. Since then, we've had children's empowerment workshops, an inner voice workshop run by Hannah Byrne, Breathwork, mindfulness and meditation run by Amanda Williams, Write your memoirs with the brilliant John Thompson, meditation with Maureen Gildea during our coffee mornings. The lovely Dayna Swinburne has delivered an incredible Drama session for teenagers which was the best thing ever for building confidence and we all had an absolute scream.  There's been so many occasions where people have escaped from the tough realities of daily life and found joy in a special moment within the hub.

The children's groups get better and better, confidence building, fun, laughter, friendships made in a safe space.  Coffee mornings of a Tuesday have been a god send to many in the community who can sit and connect with other people, share advice, offer support and compassion.

Every high street in Inner City areas are awash with fast food places, cheap booze stores, betting shops, convenience stores selling cigarettes, sweets, crisps and alcohol which all have such a negative effect on the health of the communities they operate in and cause real disempowerment. Our hub is the polar opposite of these places, it is a place to support the health & well-being of local communities and empower as many lives as we can.

We haven't even got going yet, and already the space is doing exactly what we wanted it to do in such a short space of time. The word charity can often bring up feelings of doom, sadness and desperation.  Our space is not only to support people, it is to provide, joy, inspiration, empowerment and unity to people of all ages. We are all in this world together, and together as one we can make life better for each other.
